Garrison Creeping Foxtail

Garrison creeping foxtail is an early maturing, sod-forming grass that spreads by rhizomes.  It will tolerate soil pH levels from 5.6 to 8.5.  It is very well adapted to wetland forage production as it will withstand long periods (up to 60 days) of flooding in early spring and produce better forage quality than reed canarygrass.  The seed is very light and fluffy and difficult to get through grain drills.  Garrison creeping foxtail provides abundant forage throughout the growing season that is highly digestible.
