Pubescent Wheatgrass

Wheatgrasses are fairly easy to establish.  They provide excellent early spring growth of high quality forage.  They are very hardy and nutritious.  Wheatgrasses are used for pasture, hay and erosion control.

PUBESCENT WHEATGRASS is a sod-forming grass closely related to intermediate wheatgrass.  It is more drought tolerant and better adapted to low fertility soils than intermediate wheatgrass and has better winter hardiness.  Pubescent wheatgrass prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to mildly alkaline soils.  It also develops sod somewhat quicker than intermediate wheatgrass.  It will grow 2-3 feet in height.
