Western Wheat


Wheatgrasses are fairly easy to establish.  They provide excellent early spring growth of high quality forage.  They are very hardy and nutritious.  Wheatgrasses are used for pasture, hay and erosion control.

WESTERN WHEATGRASS is a long-lived perennial sod-forming grass.  It tolerates alkali soils and is very drought tolerant and can withstand periodic flooding.  It produces high quality forage with excellent protein.  Stand are somewhat slow to develop. It will grow to a height of 1-3 feet.
